So you guys are pretty much Grade 6 students already. After yesterday's visit to Secondary School I would like your reflections. If you had to come up with a headline to sum the whole day what would it be?

Here is your homework for this week:
Don't forget Tuesday is Sports Day and Wednesday we are at the Secondary School. Here is the rubric you created for our unit. When you are working on your timelines you need to be thinking about where you would grade yourself on the rubric.
There's a lot going on over the next couple of weeks. Here are some dates for your diary:
1. Math Mates - Due Thursday
2. Lit Circles - Do the reading for your group and complete the action for your role 3. Makerspace - Plan what you will do for Wednesday's session and put it on the blog (Due Wednesday) 4. Where we are in place in time - Add 5 pieces of information onto your dipity timelime (Due Friday) 5. Art - bring photos etc in for art next week. You can put them in an envelope and leave them in an envelope on Monday/Tuesday if you're afraid of forgetting on Wednesday. 1. Math Mates - Term 3 Sheet 7 (Due Thursday)
2. Maker Space - Decide what you are going to do for the next session and post your ideas on the blog (Due Wednesday) 3. Literature Circles - Reading and group roles (Due Thursday) 4. If you have any further questions regarding secondary school put them on the google doc. After all of the excitement of the Exhibition, we are going to slip effortlessly back into our classroom routines this week. Your homework will be:
If you have any clothes, books etc. you would like to donate to any of our community partners, please bring them to B3 and I promise that I will pass them on to good homes.
Some examples of where donations will be gratefully received: Clothes for teenaged girls- Bethsaida School for Orphan Girls Clothes for children- Guardian Angels Home (Youth4Young support them) or Salvation Army (Hope School/Matumaini/ Interact work with them) Long sleeved tops, trousers, hats, sun cream- PWA shelters run by UTS (Cancer Institute currently running a drive) Plastic Toys- Mother Teresa Home (we have a community action group working with them too)- clothes for adults can go there too, as they open gates for other needy residents in Mburahati twice a year Books- Read International. Our Jenga group built their 63rd library at Makumbusho Secondary School last semester. We want to sustain our partnership with them. Kitchenware- Leaders of Tomorrow Children's Home at UAACC . Grades 9 and 10 helped build a kitchen at the centre during last year's ESP trip and opened it with a popcorn party this February, but they are still lacking most kitchenware.
