If you have any clothes, books etc. you would like to donate to any of our community partners, please bring them to B3 and I promise that I will pass them on to good homes.
Some examples of where donations will be gratefully received:
Clothes for teenaged girls- Bethsaida School for Orphan Girls
Clothes for children- Guardian Angels Home (Youth4Young support them) or Salvation Army (Hope School/Matumaini/ Interact work with them)
Long sleeved tops, trousers, hats, sun cream- PWA shelters run by UTS (Cancer Institute currently running a drive)
Plastic Toys- Mother Teresa Home (we have a community action group working with them too)- clothes for adults can go there too, as they open gates for other needy residents in Mburahati twice a year
Books- Read International. Our Jenga group built their 63rd library at Makumbusho Secondary School last semester. We want to sustain our partnership with them.
Kitchenware- Leaders of Tomorrow Children's Home at UAACC . Grades 9 and 10 helped build a kitchen at the centre during last year's ESP trip and opened it with a popcorn party this February, but they are still lacking most kitchenware. Any pots, pans, blenders etc. will be very gratefully received by Mzee Pete and the team there!
Many thanks for your generosity and for supporting our community partnerships
