Grade 3-5 Inter House Swim Galas March 6th 2015
You are invited to come watch and cheer on all the Inter House teams at the March 6th Swim Galas. Grade 4 and 5 will begin at 7:20-9:20 approximately. All students will need their swim suit, goggles if they so choose, hair tied back or a swim cap, towel, water bottle and be wearing their Inter House t shirt. Please come support and watch from the pool observation deck next week. EC and Kinder are kindly welcoming us to their backyards for the read-in tomorrow morning - thanks to them for offering their shady outside areas!
Please bring your blankets and pillows and hats and books around 7:20, ready to read quietly by 7:30. We'll wind up around 7:50, ready for pd. 2. Independent silent reading can happen in the Kinder area - please spread the expectation for hushed reading among the independent readers. Flags for Home Language reading will be in the EC area, and other small group reading can happen there as well. Older Home Language readers need to look for their country flag and settle down to wait for younger children.
TAWESO is starting the first ever Dar Animal Shelter for rescued animals around Dar and the IST Roots and Shoots Club has done fundraising for them before. We would like to continue to support them in any way that we can - and right now they need supplies. please read the list and have check at home for any old/worn items they have that you can bring in. Drop off points are in Room 45 - French room, or Miss Emma's room (Room 50b).
